LETTER BOXES

Made of sheet and extruded aluminum, letter boxes are available as surface mounted units [2240] or recessed mounted units [2245]. Letter boxes feature a durable powder coated finish available in five contemporary colors.  The doors are constructed of heavy  duty 1/4” thick aluminum and are accessed from the front. Custom engraving and plexiglass windows are available as options.

There are THREE versions of each of these two styles:

• USPS - a master lock is provided by the U. S. Postal Service for accessing the letter box to retrieve outgoing mail only.
• Private Use, Locking - a commercial lock is installed at the factory for private use; ideal for bill collections, interdepartmental memo’s, contracts, etc. (Check with your local US Postmaster for use as mail delivery receptacle).
• Private use, non-locking - also for private use, but without a lock. A thumb latch is installed permitting secure closure of the door and easy access. 

SURFACE MOUNTED
Units mount directly to a surface and are attached with mounting hardware through the back panel.

RECESSED MOUNTED
Units fit into a rough opening and are secured with mounting hardware [not included] through the back or side panels of the unit. Recessed units include a flanged collar which fits over the rough opening.

2245 Letter Box - recessed mounted. Measures 15"W x 19"H x 6-3/4"D. Mail slot: 11-1/2"W x 3/4"H. Rough opening: 13-1/2"W x 17-1/2"H x 6-1/4"D. Weight - 20 lbs. See info on price options below:

Available Options:

· Replacement Lock - You may order a replacement lock for your 2240 or 2245 any time.
· Extra Key - must be ordered with your original Letter Box
· Vertical Plexiglass Window - lets you see contents; for Private Use Letter Boxes only

Slim surface mounted Letter Boxes are 11” W x 19” H x 3-3/4” D and are available for private access applications only (includes factory installed commercial lock). Units mount directly to a flat surface and are secured with mounting hardware (not included) through the back panel. Slim surface mounted letter boxes feature an 8” W x 3/4” H mail slot. Custom engraving (related item #2266-LB) is available as an option. Plexiglass windows (related item #2273-LB) and a non-locking thumb latch (related item #2288) are also available as options upon request. Slim surface mounted letter boxes are ideal for offices and many other applications. Recess mounted models are available measuring 11” W x 19” H x 3-1/2” D, for installing into a rough opening (9-1/2” W x 17-3/4” H x 3-1/2” D), and include a fully integrated flanged collar fits over the rough opening. Slim Letter Boxes are offered with the same options as standard size Letter Boxes, except for the USPS capability.
