THE SENATOR
|

The name Senator comes from an ex-Senator who
called in and asked if Fort Knox could modify a mailbox for him. He wanted a compartment below his mailbox to be used for either small packages and/or newspapers. He liked the larger
12"x 12" mailbox, but wanted something a little extra. Fort Knox then took his idea and came out with the Senator model, named after him. In the design process, they
thought of different ways to make this mailbox while making it a little lighter for easier manufacturing. However, they decided to use 1/4" steel for the entire shell of the mailbox
to maintain the Fort Knox" standards. Now their heaviest mailbox is becoming one of their most popular mailboxes as well weighing over 145 LBS! The Senator has a 3rd door for
the lower compartment to keep packages and/or newspapers out of sight and locked up with the optional slam-lock (pictures below show the optional "slam-lock" on the lower door. Default is a door pull knob) Dimensions: 12"W x 18"H x 23"D Weight: 145 LBS! [mailbox only]

The Standard Lock
7 PIN Tumbler Locks (round keyed)
These standard locks come with the Fort Knox Mailbox. They are a chrome plated "tubular" 7 pin key lock. Tubular locks are more durable
(pick-proof) than the common keyed lock. The cams that hold the Fort Knox Mailbox doors shut are 1/8" steel which is thick enough to keep out the unwanted criminal. (2 keys included with
lock).

Optional Lock Upgrades

Slam lock:
This lock is designed for those who receive packages larger than the 1 3/4" slot. The "Slam-Lock" is made so that you can
leave the main locked door unlocked to receive packages. Your mail carrier opens the "Slam-Lock" by pulling the polished chrome
knob, takes your outgoing mail if needed, and then places your mail and/or packages in the mailbox. The next thing that is done is the
mail carrier then shuts the "Slam-Lock" door and it locks. You are once again the only one with a key. (2 keys included
with lock). RECOMMENDED FOR THE LOWER COMPARTMENT DOOR ON THE SENATOR.

ABLOY CL Series - "Double D" Hole Cam Lock:
Better known as the "Abloy Lock" which is the most reliable security lock available for coin-operated laundry equipment, vending
machines, coin boxes, slot machines, music and gambling machines, pay phones and other high security applications like our Fort Knox
Mailboxes! (4 keys included with lock)

The Vault lock:
Made for those who just want EXTREME security. This lock acts just like a vault where steel pins
position behind a strip of steel to keep anybody with some extra time on their hands out of this mailbox. From the front of the mailbox it
looks the like our standard lock, but on the inside it shows the extreme measures we take on security with this lock. [Move mouse cursor

Medeco Cam Lock
 The Medeco3 unique design provides triple locking action, making the locks
virtually pick proof. All Medeco keys and locks are protected under patent,
trademark, and copyright laws. Medeco3 keys may only be duplicated by Medeco or by a Medeco authorized sales outlet, and only at your request.
