ur first foray into the mailbox world was through a company called Mailbox Crafters in 1979. These were handsome, custom made cedar mailboxes which were marketed by mail order. At the advent of the Internet, we were one of the first online mailbox companies, offering the Veeders Mailbox, the original heavy duty steel, vandal-resistant mailbox. Because we were in a whole new product line, we changed the company name to Steel Mailbox Company, and hence, www.SteelMailbox.com was born. The Heavybilt line of mailboxes was our next successful product line. From there we have added many high end locking, vandal-resistant, and premium mailboxes, in addition to CBUs, 4C Horizontals, and drop boxes. We will continue to add the newest, best quality mailboxes to protect your mail, resist the local vandals, and to beautify the front entry to your home.
